After 28 years working as a civil engineer on utility surveys and ground investigations across the UK, I got tired of the same problem on every job — recording trial trench results was slow, messy and inconsistent.
We were using hand-drawn sketches, spreadsheets, or expensive software that wasn’t designed for the job. Reports took far longer than they should, and important details were often missed or recorded incorrectly.
